Hyperhidrosis: More than what has been met by the eye

07/03/2021

Research conducted by Brickell Biotech, Burke Healthcare, and the International Hyperhidrosis Society shows that our understanding of the socially debilitating side of Hyperhidrosis has been underestimated

In a study of over 8,000 respondees, 75% of people mentioned that excessive sweating from Hyperhidrosis has had a negative impact on their life. Only 49% of this number have consulted with a medical practitioner regarding the issue.

"Researchers found that excessive sweating causes major limitations in work and social relationships, physical and leisure activities, and impairments in emotional and mental health" (Sweathelp).
