Press Release: Dermadry and Hyperhidrosis for Children Inc. Join Forces for Event at UC Berkeley
Hyperhidrosis for Children Inc. Partners with Dermadry to Raise Awareness at UC Berkeley
On December 5th, 2024, Hyperhidrosis for Children Inc. joined forces with Dermadry to host a groundbreaking virtual event at the University of California, Berkeley. As the founder and CEO of Hyperhidrosis for Children, I was proud to collaborate with Dermadry to shed light on hyperhidrosis, a condition that profoundly impacts the lives of those affected. Together, we introduced attendees to Dermadry's innovative iontophoresis treatment—a non-invasive, proven solution for excessive sweating.
Championing Awareness Through Collaboration
The event brought together a passionate team: myself, Mathieu Mireault, Co-Founder of Dermadry, and Alexa Broster, Dermadry's Marketing Director. Our shared goal was to raise awareness of hyperhidrosis, its challenges, and its treatments while empowering future physicians to recognize and address the condition in their practices.
Event Highlights
Understanding Hyperhidrosis
We opened with a discussion on the causes and impact of hyperhidrosis. Attendees gained a deeper understanding of how this condition affects not only physical health but also mental well-being, often leading to feelings of isolation and frustration due to the stigma and lack of awareness surrounding excessive sweating.Innovative Iontophoresis Treatment
Mathieu and Alexa introduced Dermadry's iontophoresis device, which has revolutionized the treatment of hyperhidrosis. This safe, effective, and user-friendly solution has made it possible for individuals to manage their symptoms and regain control of their lives.Interactive Live Demo and Q&A
During the event, I demonstrated how Dermadry works, giving attendees a firsthand look at the simplicity and efficacy of the device. Mathieu and Alexa joined me for a lively Q&A session, answering questions and addressing concerns from the audience.Donation of Dermadry units
After the event concluded, we distributed 20 Dermadry Total-Sweat units to attendees and interested parties from UC Berkeley, UCSF, and members of the Hyperhidrosis community in the San Francisco Bay Area looking to alleviate and resolve their palmar, plantar, and axillary hyperhidrosis.
Why This Matters
At Hyperhidrosis for Children Inc., we are dedicated to raising awareness and improving the lives of individuals—especially young people—living with hyperhidrosis. This event was a unique opportunity to educate future healthcare professionals at UC Berkeley, equipping them with the knowledge to identify and support patients with this condition.
By partnering with Dermadry, we showcased a transformative treatment option while advocating for greater recognition of hyperhidrosis as a condition that demands attention, compassion, and innovation. Together, we are taking meaningful steps to support those affected and inspire change in how hyperhidrosis is understood and treated.
Sincerely,
